Where Can I Get the P90X for Cheap / Free?

There are a few places that you can buy the P90X cheaper than what Beachbody sells it for and couple of spots where you can even get it for free. But before I tell you where these places are I need to inform you of vital information that will save you money in the long-run and possibly a headache or two.

Downloading the P90X for free is possible, I just have no idea where you can find it at. Not only is downloading it for free extremely illegal, but it will also take up 55 gigs of your hard drive. Now some of you may be like ” Well I have a ginormous hard drive and 55 gigs is nothing!”.  Well you may be right, but do you know how long it takes to download 55 gigs? It takes days. And with computer virus’ being everywhere why would you want to take the chance of getting one in your computer. Are you really going to work out in front of your computer? If you do please be sure the webcam is off!

The first bit of information that you need to know is that when you purchase the P90X from Beachbody not only do you get a set of 12 workout DVD’s, but you also get a fitness guide and a nutrition plan.  Besides the workout DVD’s, the fitness guide is the most important piece of the package. The fitness guide contains the workout schedule for three tracks ( Classic, Lean, and Doubles). Classic is what most people do, Lean contains more cardio than the Classic track, and Doubles is basically the Classic track plus another daily cardio workout.  So my point is if you don’t have the fitness guide you’re as they say “up a stream without a paddle”. You will have no idea in what order to do the workout DVD’s.

The nutrition guide isn’t quite as important as the fitness guide, but it is a very close second. The nutrition guide helps you figure out exactly what your daily caloric intake should be if you want to maintain your current weight, lose weight slowly, or drop it like its your job. It takes it a step further by providing you with a detailed daily meal plan. It tells you exactly what to eat for the recommended 5 meals a day. 5 meals a day help to get and keep your metabolism going.

Beachbody is the company that created and that ONLY distributes the P90X. Period. If you purchase it through Beachbody you will get the entire package for $119.86.  My research has shown me that Beachbody does also sell the P90X through Amazon. However, the P90X price through Amazon is $145 plus shipping.  Amazon adds the extra $ to pay its affiliates their %15 referal fee.

I work a chat box on a site that gets over 100,000 visitors a month. Basically I answer peoples questions about Beachbody products. About 10% of the people I chat with are people that purchased the P90X from a site other than Beachbody or Amazon and they never received the fitness or nutrition guide. Most of them purchased it through a site that was offering it for something around $65.  They thought they were getting a great deal but they unknowingly just basically wasted their money. No fitness guide, no direction, no results.

What you should also know is that there is a good reason why these sites are selling it so cheap, that’s because they are selling you pirated copies of the P90X! Some are pretty good at it, but most are just downright pathetic and make no effort to hide the fact that it is a pirated copy. Most of them are based out of Asia so what do they care if you don’t like the fact that you bought an incomplete pirated copy.  A great example of how bad these cheap copies are unfortunately comes from a lady I work with. She went to one of these pirating sites and thought she was getting a great deal on the P90X. Paid something like $89 for it. When it arrived, a month later I might add, the DVD’s labels were all off center and hanging over the edge of the DVD! What crap! To make it worse, when she got the DVD labels fixed only half of the DVDs worked. This is bit technical, but burnable DVD’s come in -R, +R, or -+R formats.  Some DVD players only play certain DVD formats. The -+R DVDs are the best because all players play them. But they are also more expensive than the others so pirating companies try to make even more money by using the single -R or +R formated DVD’s. These companies make a lot of money at selling these pirated copies and have become very good at it. You need to be very careful if you decide to purchase from one of these sites.

Ebay is also a nice place to find cheaper copies of the P90X. However, pirating companies sell on ebay too so you need to be really careful. These companies really don’t care if you give them a bad rating. Even if ebay closes their account they will simply just open another one. SO yes, you can find legit copies on ebay but you just need to be really careful.

The last piece has to do with being financially vested. Only about 15% of the people that buy the P90X for dirt cheap finish it. Why is this you might ask? Well, the P90X workouts are tough and require a lot of commitment to complete. When people only spend $40 – $65 on the P90X there are more likely to quit and never complete it because they aren’t really losing to much. If you drop $119 on the P90X you are more likely to stick with it because you have a lot of money tied up in this.  If you’re wondering, around 60% of the people that pay full price for the P90X end up completing the 90 day journey.

So, is it possible to save some money on the P90X and buy it from a site other than Beachbody? Yes it is possible. But you are almost for sure purchasing a pirated copy where the DVD’s may not even work and you may not get the fitness or nutrition guide with it. So pony up the $119, buy a legit copy of it from Beachbody, and begin your transformation within 4 days of ordering it.
