The P90X / Insanity Workout Challenge Day 15
Today’s workout was the P90x’s Kempo X workout. I have read in some people’s blogs that they really don’t like this workout and I have to say that you get what you put into it. First off it is a nice change of pace. There are completely different body movements compared to the other workouts. Also, I have found that if you wear hand weights that the workout is extremely intensified. I purchased Beachbody’s hand weights and have never regretted buying them. They don’t weigh that much, only .75 pounds each, but wearing those for an hour of punching and you will feel the difference for sure.
The P90X / Insanity Challenge Day 11
Today’s workout was the Insanity Max Cardio workout! This has go to be one of the toughest Insanity workouts yet! This one is about 10 minutes longer than the rest of the Insanity workouts and is much more intense. There are only two water breaks and one of them is after the stretching piece. This workout also had many new kinds of movements. The one that really made both my abs and chest burn was towards the end. I have no idea what Shawn T calls them put you get in a plank push-up position and hold it. Meanwhile you bring your right leg up to the side and touch your right elbow. Return your leg to the floor and then do the same with the other side. I think I did about 23 of these before my arms gave out. It hurt a ton but it was a good feeling to be challenged. Tomorrow I am back to the P90X and I believe it is the Chest and Back workout. See you tomorrow!

The P90X / Insanity Challenge Day 10
To say that this past week was busy would be an understatement. Besides the responsibilities that come with my regular job, the wrestling team that I coach started up last week. I also referee HS wrestling and I had two dual meets after my regular practice time. At one of the duals the school’s fire alarm went off in the middle of the meet extending the time of it. The meet began at 5:30 and I didn’t get home until 9:30 that night. It was a very long day. I ended up missing two workouts last week but still managed to lose more weight. At the beginning of this challenge I weighed in at 186.7 lbs. Yesterday I tipped the scales at 175.6 lbs. Surprising because I had a few beers the night before.
Today’s workout was the P90X legs and back.I finished up with the Ab Ripper which was not nice on my midsection. It had been quite some time since I finished an Ab Ripper workout and it felt like it in the end. After the workout I went for a short 1.5 mile run on my treadmill. I probably burned an extra 150 calories in the process.
I have been continuing to eat Beachbody’s protein bars for my snacks and have also been taking the Beachbody Vitamins which are designed to increase by body’s metabolism.
Tomorrow’s workout is an Insanity workout. It shouldn’t be a problem to finish this one because I have incorporated it into my wrestling team’s practices. Surprisingly enough most of the kids love it. They like the new moves, music, and the encouragement of Shaun T. There are some kids who hate it and most of them are overweight. It is quite hard for them and I have told them to only dowhat you can.
P90X / Insanity Challenge Day 6
Today’s workout was Insanity’s Cardio Power workout. This workout had me fooled to begin with. It started off very easy and gradually got more and more difficult. The end was almost impossible. Shawn T had me doing these leg extension things that worked the hip flexors. Talk about burning, wow! My legs were on fire and I had to take multiple breaks. All in all the first week of the P90X/Insanity challenge went well. I completed every workout and never strayed from the diet. Now on to a well earned day off and then back at it on Saturday.

The P90X / Insanity Challenege Day 5
Today was the P90X Legs/Back and Ab Ripper. This is one of the easier workouts and it was a welcomed one as well. The hardest part of the workout is the 8 sets of pull-ups which were a welcomed relief this time. With the last workout I did I couldn’t do too many pull-ups and was slightly discouraged. My back must have been slightly tired for that workout because my pull-ups increased in just 3 days.
