Is the P90X For Me?
Many of the people that I talk to tell me that they want to get fit but that they don’t want to put on a lot of muscle. I bring up the P90X to them and they immediately mention the infomercial and how they thought that it was just for people who wanted to bulk up. I tell them that the nice part about the P90X is that you can change it up to meet your individual needs. By changing it up I mean alter the amount of reps you do per exercise. If you want to pack on the muscle you want to use a heavy weight that you can barely do 6-8 times. If you want to tone up your target should be 12-15 reps. The P90X is for people who want to shed fat and build muscle or for people like the stay at home mother Suzy (below) who used the P90X to shed her excess fat and tone up her existing muscle.
